2020 worked out well for China. Its economy grew. The population is happy that Covid is not a problem on the scale that it is in the rest of the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

China has a long term strategy. Which does include to bringing Taiwan back under its influence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One could speculate that some forces in Bejing see 2021 as a unique historic chance to make progress in this project: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

China will continue to be on high alert, stand ready to deal with any threats and provocations, and resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity <\/p>Ecns.com<\/a> on Feb 4th<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Comparing the China and other forces the balance has never been more favorable for the middle kingdom. One has to look to times before the Ming dynasty to find a similar comparison. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
