The treadmill was turning as usual, but also squeaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now Repo is no more. As Reuters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-usa-fed-assets\/fed-balance-sheet-below-7-trillion-repo-drops-to-zero-for-first-time-since-september-idUSKBN24A37T\">writes<\/a> this is probably due to a rule change making this tool less attractive for banks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalreserve.gov\/monetarypolicy\/bst_recenttrends.htm\">balance sheet<\/a> decreases in the same time is interesting.
